I had fun making 3 reels on Instagram of my Banff Artist in Residence. Enjoy this glimpse view!
Jasper and Banff AIR Fond Memories
Putting the finishing touches on The Skeptic
With the close of my two Artist Residencies in the Rockies, I take home many smiles, and great memories. I witnessed the professionalism of the Mountain Galleries team, chatted with happy travellers, and had the rare opportunity to share my art process with everyone. AIR nourished my creative soul.

Going Big with a Sweet Painting
Mama’s Li’l Tough Guy, stretches a grand 36 x 72”. I love the story the painting shares with the viewer. The focus is the cub, with mama bear playing a supporting role.
First Saturday in 1000 Parker Street
Join me on June 3, for my first ever First Saturday art show. It’s a quick pop up for 5 hours only! Crazy! It’s an opportunity to get out of my studio, talk to people, and a chance for everyone to see a preview of my new work.
I’m at 1000 Parker Street, Suite 320, buzzer 320. June 3, noon - 5 pm
The Painting Process
Part of my painting process includes organic mark making, and an example of this is loosely and strategically dripping painting with a larger brush. The more haphazard the marks, the better!

Banff YWCA Vineart Auction
Polar North was auctioned to help generate some much needed funds for the YWCA in Banff. The moneys will help prevent, and address gender-based violence, poverty, housing, shelter, and economic insecurity in the Bow Valley.
Foxy Lady Gets the Royal Treatment
My fox series is off to a great start, and deserving of being captured with all of its glorious shifts in colour and painterly brushwork via documentation.
Virtual Exhibition
A shout out to Mountain Galleries for sharing my art with everyone.
Art Documentation
An important component of my art is to have it properly documented. I leave that to the professionals. Over the years Alan @fidelisartprints, digitally captures my paintings and carefully ensures that colors align with the originals. No more glare, unwanted shadows, and surprises. What you see is what you get.
Portside Studios Art Weekend
Classes are filling up quickly. I’m offering a painting step by step workshop where we’ll learn how to use transparent and opaque paints to create a wonderful winter berries scene. Fun!
Go Big Or Go Home
Ice King at 48 x 48” is a statement piece.
Perfect for a larger space. Painting larger means addressing the canvas’ vastness, with loads of exploration. I normally take a deep breath, then working in multiple layers of paint, address every inch of canvas.
New Raven Series
Introducing and adding ravens to my repertoire of wildlife paintings. J’en sais quoi, its that way they look at you… curious like. They sure won me over, those smart and clever corvids.

Happy to report, Hopeful has SOLD.
14th Annual Christmas Show at Gallery 8
What if bears were royalty within their habitats? This was the inspiration of my Royal Bear series. Meet the Timberland King and the Glacier Prince. My three pieces for the show have found forever homes.

Commission Mission Accomplished
My artist’s life is always full of new adventures and never boring! These two fine pot bellied pigs graced my easel, and made me smile every day.

Baaah...Sheep on the Easel
Love creating these lumpy little sheep…with attitude.
Gotta bring on some attitude.
Acrylic Workshop with Brian Atyeo
Too much of a good thing is wonderful… Brian Atyeo and his art workshop pulls creative ideas out of me that I never knew I even had. That’s the sign of a good instructor. His workshops are intensive, challenging, and oh so, rewarding. In my books, he’s a brilliant mentor.
Canada Day Art Demo at the Whistler Farmers Market
With this sweet spirit bear on my easel, passerby stopped to chat and share stories. An all round perfect day.
